The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the true and inspired Word of God. Though it was written down by forty men over a period of  1500 years, it contains no errors.  For the Lord tells us:

 Men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.  2 Peter 1:21.

Humankind

We believe that though people were created holy, we are no longer able to do God’s Will as it is summarized in the 10 Commandments.  But God loved us and sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect life for our credit. 

Salvation

We believe that God’s Son, Jesus Christ, took on our human flesh and blood and was born as a baby in Bethlehem.   As God’s Son he was without sin and lived a perfect life for us, completely fulfilling all of God’s commands in our stead.  On the cross, Jesus bore the guilt of the sins of every person in this world, declaring us not guilty in God’s Sight.

We believe that by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus assures us that we have peace with God and through faith in Jesus we have the gift of eternal life.  The Holy Spirit works and strengthens faith in Christ in our hearts when we hear his Word.

Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved—you and your household. Acts 16:31
